This Joong Boo Market has a totally different vibe in the suburbs than the original one in the City off Kimball. The old school market had some tasty food, but at this place tried K Grill with its Americanized version of korean-street food. The star here for me was their kimchi fries. The fries held up to the fermented cabbage which remained crispy and hot throughout. There was just the right amount of kimchi to give it nice heat and saltiness. Paired that with their volcano burger in a bright orange-yellow “cheez-wiz”-like sauce. It was very tasty though I felt that the patty itself was a bit pedestrian. Also tried their K cheesesteak but chose their pork version which was excellent!! Warm and plentiful, there was a good amount of heat from the sauce and the marinated pork. The bun was supersoft and held the sandwich together, even a day later as leftovers. Lastly, had their hot stone bowl with bulgogi and all the fixings including fried egg with a soy vinagrette. Really enjoyed this flavor bomb and reminiscent of eating at my favorite Korean bbq joint (Cho Sun Ok). The crispy rice was a nice finish to the hot bowl. Went in on a Tuesday and encountered the rude guy running this place. Asked if they do Taco Tuesday for Tofu and he just shook his head no. I asked if they do Tofu tacos in general and he silently just created the order and asked me to pay, even though I hadn’t ordered anything, I just asked a question. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought to myself that he might be having a bad day. Anyways, the taco meal is supposed to come with a drink. He served my food with no drink. When I asked for my drink, he just nodded his head towards my table, where my own pre-existing water bottle (which I brought into the establishment myself) was. So basically, I was silently refused my drink. After eating, I returned the tray and said thanks, and he silently took it from me and turned his face. I’ll give credit where it’s due. The tofu tacos were delicious, but the poor service left a pretty foul aftertaste. I literally left this place wondering what I may have done to upset this guy, then I saw other reviews mentioning his rudeness. 0/5, Never again

I was having a bad day and the guy behind the counter made everything feel better whether he knew it or not. The volcano bulgogi burger was impressive to look at and the taste was great!!! The complimentary soup was simple broth with rice and green onions. The flavour was clean and you could taste the hint of the bones that helped make the stock.

We’ve tried K-Grill multiple times, and they consistently provide high-quality meat. Everything is juicy and flavorful. I love their galbi plate, which comes with rice, kimchi, and salad, along with perfectly marinated kalbi. They also offer great vegetarian options, including the veggie bibimbap. We ordered catering from K-Grill for my son's birthday party—bulgogi, dumplings, and salad—and it was a big hit! Their portions were very generous, too. Their fusion tacos and dessert waffle ice cream are also must-tries. It is one of my top favorite Korean BBQ restaurants in the U.S.

This is my first time here and I’m not disappointed. The K Cheesesteak is phenomenal. Great balance of flavor and enough to share. The bulgogi dumplings are fantastic, very flavorful with a great crisp. And the shrimp were evenly cooked with a good dipping sauce. If you’re in the area you need to give them a try. If you’re not in the area they are worth the drive.
